Message from the Dean
The Student Support Services division at Cypress College exists to provide students
with a variety of opportunities for growth, development and the support they need
to take advantage of those opportunities. We believe that we are an integral part
of the educational mission of Cypress College.
We know that our students are real people, with families, job and money troubles
and other responsibilities that compete with their efforts in accomplishing an
education. Student Support Services professionals are here to help students succeed
in college by helping them overcome the many real-life barriers that can end a
college career if they are not dealt with. In order to successfully manage all
these parts of their lives, students often need some very concrete types of support.
The many programs offered in the Student Support Division are designed to assist
in very concrete ways in addition to fostering individual development.
